This is a new year, and coming right after the election period, we should all band together and forge a prosperous, peaceful future. Each one of us should look at the ones next to us and see a brother, a friend, a helper.
Love is not fostered on suspicion but on mutual respect and trust, and this starts by giving the other person the benefit of doubt. It is by trusting and hoping that they are not infected by the tribal bile that is still being spat by people all over.
We can change the narrative of our future by being better versions of ourselves. So we should come together and rise up, or perish as fools.
